This is not a picture of dog poop. Really, it's a picture of those elongated dirt clumps you get when you aerate your lawn. 
Around here, we like to use them as sidewalk chalk. Laura calls them "Envirochalk" because she thinks they are good for the environment.
And bird poop apparently doubles as finger paint...if you're really hard-up for entertainment.

I'm so glad to have seen this. My kids have actually been asking lately what they can do for fun since we don't have a Wii!!

Thank you, thank you. I thought we were the only ones without a Wii so this is perfect. Just yesterday Sarah was "fingerpainting" with bird poop. Now I know it's acceptable entertainment. And we need to aerate our lawn and the girls love sidewalk chalk. Now we can be "green" with our drawings.
I was always impressed with the artwork of your kids. Their sidewalk drawings don't disappoint.
At least Noelle's artwork was limited to outdoors . . .
