Part 2 of "How do your Christmas decorations rate?"

Here is a classic example of a house that rates a "Burl Ives" on our scale. Ironically, it is named the "Santa House".

There are three little houses in the yard with Santa scenes in them. This one even has a Santa movie playing inside:

Notice (in the background) all the Santas inside their house peeking out from the windows:

This is on the sidewalk in front of their house:

By contrast:

This is a picture of the house we saw last year that scored a "Scrooge" for only putting one string of lights on a single bush. This year, they went all out and decorated another bush, but we are still disgusted and refuse to raise them to the level of "Grinch".

I mean, what is that?

I LOVE the Santa House! Nasty ice in the driveway, though. I now understand the ends of the decorations rating continuum. Two bushes with one string of lights each? Silly.

Hey, that's my house you took a photo of without any lights! Don't you know that we got in a car accident and all of our limbs were amputated and we tried to plug our lights in with our teeth, but got electricuted and now we're laying on the floor, near dead and there's someone outside our house taking a picture of it and saying we are Bah-Humbug. I hope you feel ashamed.

I wonder how we'd rank this year - we finally set out the lights on the bush with one measly string across the porch on Christmas Eve, and only because Evelyn wouldn't stop bugging!
